Intro paragraph: In Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck, the protagonist, Huck, is greatly influenced by four people: Widow Douglas, Tom Sawyer, Pap, and Jim.
Conclusion Paragraph: Without these key influences in his life, Huck would be a very different person.
Widow Douglass influenced Huck because she has taught him about the bible, and tried to civilize him. Pg.1 “the widow Douglass, she took me for her son, and allowed she would civilize me,” it helped Huck become a better person and learn manners. Pg 13 He thinks I could have been better and treated her better.
Tom Sawyer influenced Huck by making him leave his new home and family to join a gang, and do bad things. Pg.3 “I heard a twig snap, down in the dark amongst the trees—something was a stirring. I set still and listened. Directly I could just barely hear a “me-yow! me-yow!” down there. That was good! Says I, “me-yow! me-yow!” as soft as I could, and then I put out the light and scrambled out of the window onto the shed. Then I slipped down to the ground and crawled in amongst the trees, and sure enough there was Tom Sawyer waiting for me.” Every time Huck does something adventures he says “Tom Sawyer would like this or what would tom do”. Pg
Pap influenced Huck because when ever Huck starts to get his life together he shows up and trys to make him stop the good things that he has accomplished. Pg 14 “looky here- you drop that school you hear? I'll learn people to bring up a boy to put on airs over his own father and let on to be better'n what he is. You let me catch you fooling around that school again you hear..." Huck thinks back to when his dad use to tan him. Pg14 "I used to be scared of him all the time he tanned me so much.."
Jim influences Huck because it seems to me that when Huck is with him he makes smarter decisions.

huck finn response (ch.1 - ch.12)
The adventures of Huckleberry Finn is about a young man named Huck Finn who goes to live with Widow Douglas. But he ran away because he didn't feel like being under all the pressure of being a good boy and remaining at the widows house. So Huck and Tom Sawyer sneak away along with other boys to start a gang and the main thing for the gang to do is rob and kill people. They didn't well do anything as far as robbing or killing people so they went back to their homes. When Huck went back home he found an unexpected guest it was his father. The reason his father came back was because he heard about Huck having six thousand dollars and he wants the money so he threatens Huck because he also found out that Huck is in school learning. An since Huck's mom or dad didn't go to school he doesn't feel that Huck should be in school learning because he says it's against their family.
Huck fakes his death by killing a hog and he dragged it on the grown to make it seem like he had been killed and dragged on the floor. So then everybody was looking for Huck and he leaves and goes to Jackson island. While Huck is on Jackson island he See's a ship in the water blowing cannons trying to make Huck's dead carcass float to the top of the water. Now Huck is afraid because he See's a old campfire so he hides and goes to the other side of the island were he finds the widows run away slave named Jim. Jim and Huck work together and they find an old home and they see a dead body in the corner but they find lots of things that they need and they take it. Jim is sort of Huck's protector. So Jim has a plan he has Huck go into town as a women and he See's a lady that he has never seen before so he goes in and talks to her. She asked him a series of questions and she tells him all about Huck Finn's death and how they think Jim killed Huck.
She offers him to stay the night with her and she figures out that he is a girl because the way he throws and how he pulled his legs together and she notices allot of things about him. Then asks him what is his real name and where are his parents knowing Huck Finn he lied. An some how got his way out of staying with her and he goes back to the island and tells Jim to pack everything up. Jim did it and didn't ask any questions and they found a new place to stay and that's all i know for right now.
I think that this book is in a way related to Of Mice and Men, because of how the characters run away when something goes wrong.
